1. Who we are

YumMemo turns recipe posts you choose to share into structured recipes. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

2. Information we process

• Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
• Your cookbook: imported URLs, extracted recipes, favorites, collections, meal plans and shopping-list items.
• Imported post data: available caption, images, video or audio from a public post you choose to import.
• Subscription data: product, entitlement, renewal and expiry status linked to your internal account ID. Apple or Google processes your payment details; we do not receive your full card information.
• Technical data: limited logs, device and network information needed to secure and operate the service.
• Support data: information you provide when you contact us or submit a deletion request.

3. Social posts and AI processing

When you import a public TikTok or Instagram post, its URL, available caption, images, video and audio may be processed to create a recipe. This content is sent to Google Gemini for that purpose. Do not import content you are not permitted to use.

4. Why we use this information

• To create, save and organize your recipes.
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• To diagnose failures and improve reliability.
• To respond when you contact support.

5. Storage and sharing

Your cookbook is private by default. We only share data with service providers that help us host, secure and operate YumMemo. This includes Google Gemini when you request recipe extraction. Apple and Google process purchases and receive the identifiers and purchase information needed to complete and validate them. We do not use an external subscription-management provider and we do not sell personal data.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and cookbook data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Privacy & account → Delete account in the app. This immediately deletes your account, authentication tokens, saved recipes, imports, favorites, collections, meal plans and shopping-list items. Account deletion does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it through your store account to stop future renewal. Transaction records may be retained where needed for purchase validation, fraud prevention, accounting or other legal obligations. You can also request deletion on the web. We verify web requests before processing them. Other limited transaction, security or legal records are retained only where required or permitted by law, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

7. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise those rights.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and secure password hashing to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free, so please use a unique password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
